Welcome to Pioneer Volleyball Club in Christchurch, NZ

Pioneer Volleyball Club is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. We have a long history and a club full of players and volunteers that love the game. Pioneer has both Men’s and Women’s teams to suit all ages and abilities. If you are living in or moving to Christchurch and want to play just email us for details!

Well deserved recognition for our Pioneer Women’s A Coach, Mark Termeer (aka Snakey).Your hard work and contribution to the club does not go unnoticed. Thankyou for everything you have done and continue to do!We are just about at the end of National Volunteer Week in Aotearoa 👏The good news is that we still have a few more volunteers to recognise.Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu honours the collective energies and mana of more than one million volunteers across our country. We continue to celebrate the volunteers in our sector that not only make sport and physical activity happen across Waitaha, but create positive experiences for our communities 🏀🏈⛳️ 🏏Tonight, meet Mark Termeer, who has coached both indoor and beach volleyball for 30 years and is currently coaching the Pioneer Senior Women's team 🏐Mark is a hilarious and caring coach who gives his time to help others achieve their sporting goals."I enjoy meeting like-minded people who enjoy the same passions as I do. It is good to give back to a sport that I have had so much from. I still enjoy the game and being at tournaments and it is a great way to meet new people. There is great satisfaction with seeing players improve and develop, not only as players but as people. Our Volleyball Teams

Men's Volleyball

Our top Men’s volleyball teams have consistently been one of the best in the South Island for a number of years. We have a strong group of coaches and managers that look after all our teams, including the A and B grades, as well as the Men’s development teams.

Women's Volleyball

Pioneer Volleyball Club have a number of women’s volleyball teams, including A and B grades, as well as a selection of women’s development teams. The last few years both our women’s A and B grade teams competed at New Zealand Nationals.

Social Volleyball

As well as the main winter Volleyball tournament, we also run a summer social volleyball tournament, and have various social activities throughout the year.
